Bethany AME Church Ministries

Bethany Community Center provides a variety of church and community services.

• Worship Services (Revivals and Bible Study)
• Meetings
• Banquets
• Organized Sport Activities (Skate Around, Basketball, etc.)
• Tutoring
• Place to donate food items and clothing

Bible study classes are held for members and non-members to study, share, and discuss the Scriptures. We pray that all students will share the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with others.

On Sunday mornings, church school is available to provide quality teaching of the Bible and religious education in an environment where students can participate and learn.

Health Services provide greater interest in health education and maintaining healthy minds and bodies.

The Hospitality Committee works to provide a friendly, healthy, and generous atmosphere for members, guests and others at all functions.

The Lay Organization strives to instill in the membership of the church a love and appreciation for the history, tradition, and principles of African Methodism.

The Men Fellowship encourages men to become involved in leading other men to the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Missionaries work diligently to serve and help others as they spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

The Music Department provides music for the church and helps inspire others through songs.

The Stewards conduct the temporal business of the church and seek out the needy and distressed in order to relieve and comfort them.

Stewardesses provide the elements for the holy communion and dress the pulpit and altar rail with suitable clean white converings.

Trustees take care of the real estate, the church, parsonage and other property owned by the local church. They make improvements to the property or real estate when authorized.

Ushers greet and seat vistors and members, monitor the doors, issue materials and provide information when needed.

Women of Destiny work together and use their skills in Godly ways to help others grow spritually, positively and productively.

The Young People's Division (YPD) provides meaningful youth training programs in all church areas. It helps youth develop interest in discovering Christian opportunities.
